Worldwide Photo Walk 2019

On Saturday I led the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk for the 5th time! I love this event because it brings together a bunch of awesome photographers, and we get to explore a place together.
A few of the Worldwide Photo Walks I’ve attended/led:
- 2010 in Ragusa Ibla, Sicily
- 2011 in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA
- 2013 in Ocean Beach, San Diego, CA
- 2014 in Pismo Beach, CA
- 2015 in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA
- 2016 in Norfolk, VA
- 2017 in Norfolk, VA
This year I held my photo walk in conjunction with the Darkroomers Photographic Club and Skylum Software in San Diego’s famous Balboa Park. According to the group photo there were 27 of us, but there were a few that caught up with us along the walk so I’m guessing we had somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 people.
We also had a couple of cosplayers join us which was a great bonus! They were gracious models and humored our paparazzi mob.
Balboa Park is a great place to people watch. There are always people out enjoying the museums, outdoors, and amazing architecture as well as some pretty talented street performers. This guy’s routine was pretty cool.
Certain areas of the park have spectacular views…
A similar view from a slightly different vantage point…this one to capture the plane on its approach to the airport.
And finally, I think we all captured a few shots of Balboa Parks AMAZING architecture.
It really was a spectacular evening! Thank you everyone who came out to join me for the 2019 Worldwide Photo Walk, and a big thanks to the Darkroomers for hosting and Skylum Software for some awesome giveaways. See you next year!
