Thoughts On Current World Events
I’m heartbroken. Not only by the attack in Nice, but by so many awful things happening around the world.
I was in Paris for Bastille Day 16 years ago and the threat of terrorism never even crossed my mind.
The world has changed so much in the last 16 years…and not for the better. Perhaps I was more sheltered back then.
A few life lessons the past 16 years has taught me:
- Be the positive influence you want to see in the world around you
- Sometimes you have to make a conscious decision to NOT live in fear
- The time we have in this world is limited. Make every day count.
The photos below are from my trip to Europe in 2000. This was LONG before I got into photography so they are just snapshots and good memories. (35mm film captures, scanned from 4×6 prints)
