Thirty Days of Thanksgiving | Day 23

You’d think that 23 days in to the Thirty Days of Thanksgiving challenge that I’d have this daily blogging thing down….but no. I have 22 minutes left of November 23 to write this post! Yikes!
Today I decided to sew. Its kind of a big deal because I haven’t used my sewing machine in many many years. Its also significant because my sewing machine is an heirloom – it used to belong to my great-grandmother.
I had to pull out the manual (yes, I have the original manual) to remember how to use it, how to wind a bobbin and thread the needle. From there all of the sewing lessons I received as a kid from my grandma started coming back. In the end I somewhat successfully hemmed a pair of jeans! I think that’s a huge win!
Today I am thankful for:
- Heirlooms
- Sewing lessons from my grandma
- The ability to successfully hem pants
What are you thankful for today?
