Thirty Days of Thanksgiving | Day 11

Sailor on the USS Sterett as it prepares to depart for deployment in December of 2011

The photo above was captured the day my husband left on his most recent deployment in December of 2011. He was gone through July of 2012. I’ve been fortunate to have him home since (with the exception of short underways).

Today I am thankful for:

  • My husband (pictured above), and to all Veterans who have served
  • All of the awesome businesses that did a bit extra to support Veterans today and this weekend. We took advantage of 20% off at Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza (discount always available, not just this weekend), a free ice cream at Chik-fil-a, and 20% off everything in store at Bed Bath & Beyond.
  • A haircut, some fresh color and my awesome stylist. I LOVE my new haircut! (if you need a hair stylist in San Diego let me know and I’ll gladly send you her contact info!)

What are you thankful for today?
