Thirty Days of Thanksgiving | Day 8

Morro Strand State Beach Sunset

Where has this week gone? I can’t believe tomorrow is Friday already. Is it just me or does time feel like it is accelerating? There just aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done. On that note, now that it is after 8pm I guess its time to finish up my daily blog post before sitting down to watch some telly and sipping a glass of vino.

Today’s photo was taken at the Morro Strand State Beach during the California Photo Festival in a class with Marc Muench. I think what I love most about this photo is the reflection of the gorgeous clouds in the wet sand.

The photo above was created with an Induro AKB1 Tripod mounted Canon EOS 7D and Sigma 18-200mm Lens at 31mm, ISO 100, 4 sec at f/25. Processing was done in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Today I am thankful for:

  • A productive day – I even made it to the gym!! (patting myself on the back for that one)
  • A great real estate agent – You may recall in my post a couple of days ago that I was encouraged that our offer on a house was being considered. Tonight I found out that they went with another higher offer. However, I went to look at another house today and I really like it! I even met a would-be neighbor. A granny who lives across the street and is a total sweetheart. She has lived in that house for 50+ years and loves the neighborhood.  We’ll be putting an offer (this will be #7…I think…I’m starting to lose track). Anyhow, I’m thankful for my real estate agent because the market is tough and he is determined to find us a new home, no matter how long it takes! (If any of my readers are looking for a real estate agent I’d be happy to pass on his contact info, just contact me.)
  • My weekly CSA boxes – I love getting fresh organic veggies each week! It is sometimes challenging using them all up, but it is forcing me to get better at meal planning.

What are you thankful for today?
