Thirty Days of Thanksgiving | Day 6

This photo was captured during a California Photo Festival Class focusing on composition with Rick Sammon. I chose to create an HDR (high dynamic range) image comprised of six frames for this scene because I wanted to capture the drama of the stormy sky and the detail of the woodwork under the pier.
This photo was shot with an Induro AKB1 Tripod mounted Canon EOS 7D and Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 Lens. The photo above is comprised of six frames manually bracketed at -2 (1/13 sec), -1 (1/25 sec), 0 (1/50 sec), +1 (1/100 sec), +2 (1/200 sec), +3 (1/400 sec) 37mm, ISO 100, f/11. I processed this photo with Adobe Lightroom, Photomatix Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and Topaz Adjust.
Today I am thankful for:
- The right to vote – regardless of what side of the political aisle you sit on, please exercise your right to vote and let the government hear your voice.
- Friendship – I’m incredibly blessed in the friend department. There are a small handful of people in my life that are always there for me and accept me as I am and love me for it. They are excited when good things happen to me, they let me vent when I’ve had a bad day, they listen and offer support when I get myself into difficult situations, and they smack me upside the head when I do or say something stupid. You guys know who you are :) I love you! I don’t know what I’d do without you.
What are you thankful for today?
