Sunset at Scripps Pier | La Jolla, CA

Last weekend, while I was waiting for the sun to set, and the Steel Wool Photo Shoot to start, I used my time to get a few long exposure and HDR (high dynamic range) shots of Scripps Pier.

The lovely symmetry of this structure is a huge draw for photographers. Each time I’ve been there I’ve had to share the space with at least a few other shutterbugs.

The photo above is a single exposure, 6 seconds at f/9, ISO 100, processed in Lightroom, Photoshop, and Topaz Denoise.

This photo is a 7 exposure HDR captured at f/7.1 and ISO 100. Processing was done in Lightroom and Photomatix Pro.

Have a lovely weekend!
