Sunset at Font’s Point | Anza-Borrego Desert State Park

One of the main reasons I headed to the desert last weekend (other than wildflower hunting and some rest & relaxation) was to meet a group of photographers I “met” on Google+. I asked my parents to come with me, not only for their company (which I love) but also because meeting a bunch of strangers in the desert by myself didn’t seem like the brightest idea.
The initial group meeting location was Font’s Point, a four mile drive down Font’s Wash. From where we parked it was an easy hike to the point overlooking the Badlands of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. The view was stunning! Here are a few of my photos from that evening:
And that group of photographers? Fantastic people! Talented photographers and genuinely nice people. I’m honored to have met and had a chance to shoot with them. We met up with the photo group later on that evening for dinner at a local Mexican food restaurant (Carmelita’s, great food! check them out if you find yourself in Borrego Springs) and then headed out for a bit of night shooting after dinner….photos coming soon – stay tuned!
