A Stormy Evening in La Jolla

Friday night I braved the intermittent rain and went down to La Jolla Cove. I was there at the perfect time. The rain had stopped and the sun gave a short, but dazzling performance as dusk faded into night with a colorful show.
As I started walking back toward the car I felt a few spits of rain. I pulled out my handy plastic grocery bag and tied it over my camera (still attached to the tripod) and then continued walking. Within a few seconds it was pouring! I had remembered to bring something to protect my gear, but had left my umbrella in the car. Oops! By the time I reached my car (about 1/2 mile away from where it started raining) I was soaked to the bone and shivering.
It was worth it! :-)
