San Francisco CIty Lights

I’ll be heading to Northern California soon, so I thought I’d share a favorite San Francisco photograph for Throwback Thursday. This one was taken in February 2010 from the Marin Headlands, looking back toward the city.

This photo was captured on possibly the most unstable tripod ever! I had borrowed it from my mom and it wasn’t intended to hold the weight of a DSLR. Getting a steady photo with this thing was a challenge, to say the least! (there was much laughter & frustration that evening) I was also using a star filter which grabbed the rays of light and made thousands of brilliant little stars.
