Saline di Trapani | Sicily | Italy

This week’s Throwback Thursday post comes to you from Sicily in 2007. I captured this image on my first trip to the western side of Sicily. I was traveling with my mom and my hubbie. This is where Sicilian Sea Salt comes from. The white dune behind the windmill is salt…lots of salt.

My most notable memory from my first trip here? I was sick…I felt sooooo icky. I snapped a couple of photos and then got back in the car to lay down. Most of that day was a blur (thank you, cold meds). I remember wanting to visit the museum, but it felt like too far to walk…thats how bad I felt.

It was a gorgeous place, and luckily I was able to visit again in 2010 and had plenty of energy to check out the museum and other cool stuff at the Saline di Trapani.
