Peak Design Just Dropped a New Pro Tripod Line—and It Looks Incredible

A few years ago, I backed the Peak Design Travel Tripod on Kickstarter. It quickly became one of my all-time favorite pieces of gear—compact, lightweight, sturdy, and thoughtfully designed. I still use it regularly, and it continues to check all the boxes for my photography needs.

So, while I won’t personally be backing their latest Kickstarter campaign (simply because my current tripod is still going strong and does everything I need), I’m still really excited about what they’ve launched—and I think a lot of photographers will be, too.
Introducing the new Peak Design Pro Tripod series—three new models that build on the Travel Tripod’s innovative design but offer more size and height options:

- Pro Lite – A lightweight option with added stability and height
- Pro – Full-size support with a premium build
- Pro Tall – For those who want serious height without sacrificing performance
If you loved the idea of the Travel Tripod but needed something larger or more robust, one of these new options could be just what you’re looking for.

As always, Peak Design’s attention to detail, sustainability, and lifetime warranty(!!) make their gear worth every penny.
🗓️ The Kickstarter runs through August 15, 2025, so now’s the time to check it out.

Wait… don’t tell me you’re getting one of those?! I LOVE everything about it, except for the price – haha. Their travel tripod is da bomb and has been with me from Ireland and Ukraine to Croatia and Japan – and many points in between. PD does a solid piece of “kit” no matter what!
I’m not planning to get one at this point. Perfectly happy with my Travel Tripod, but wanted to share this one because several of my photo friends have expressed interest in the one I have but hesitated to get one either because it was too short or didn’t hold big enough lenses. Problem solved!
