Glimpsing Cape Charles

glimpse ɡlim(p)s/ noun – a momentary or partial view
My visit to Cape Charles was brief. Too brief.
Mom & I barely had time to scramble down to the beach for a few photos while my dad & hubbie waited in the car. It was crispy cold, and windy – and still quite beautiful.
This sleepy enclave is nestled on the Chesapeake Bay. It was quiet during our visit but there were signs that residents were gearing up for a busy summer. Personally, I prefer the serenity of off-season.
One day soon I hope to go back and wander by foot along the streets and waterfront of this delightful beach town…maybe stay a night at a B&B so I can catch the sunset…
