Finally, Fall | Chesapeake, VA

After a long, hot, humid summer, I’m so very happy that fall is here! The weather has cooled off and the trees are just starting to turn colors.

Recently, at a photo club meeting, a friend told me about Oak Grove Lake Park. It has a walking trail along a small lake. Last night I decided to take a walk and see if I could find any fall color. This was my reward:

While much of Virginia has exploded with fall color (so I’m told), the Hampton Roads area runs a bit behind since we are near the ocean. A local I spoke to told me to come back in about two weeks. The park should hit peak color by then. You can bet I’ll be there!
