I could really use a cup of coffee right now. Especially after working on this photo (processed in Topaz Texture Effects).
I captured this delicious-looking cappuccino photo late last year while I was staying in SLO. I’d love to be able to sit down for a cuppa with my mom (like we did that day), but alas, I am now on the opposite side of the country, roughly 3000 miles away.
Sigh…back to the photo.
I did a bit of processing on it with Topaz Texture Effects. They’ve just released an update that includes 42 new textures, 15 new effects, and performance enhancements. I hadn’t used Texture Effects in awhile so I thought it would be fun to try it out again.
Topaz Texture Effects is a lot of fun and can add many different cool fine art styles to a photograph. Stylistically, the sky is the limit. Each aspect of a preset can be modified. They can also be masked so that a color effect might apply to the whole image, but the texture to only part of it. Its a great way to selectively edit and create something truly unique.
In their most recent pieces of software, Topaz has really upped their user interface game. Their programs have become a heck of a lot more user friendly.
If you haven’t tried Topaz Texture Effects yet, I urge you to download the free trial. If you like it, you can get $20 off the price through 1/31/16 using coupon code “EASYTEXTURE”. If you happen to miss this promotion you can get 15% off Topaz Labs software anytime using coupon code “angandrieux”.
