Carnival Kaleidoscope at the Del Mar Fair

Last month I got to go out shooting with one of my favorite photo friends in Southern California. We decided to get some evening shots of the San Diego County Fair carnival lights in Del Mar. I had seen work from other photogs from a certain vantage point and had been wanting to check it out for years.
We spent a couple of hours capturing the movement of the carnival rides. I was mesmerized by the ever changing lights and the patterns they created when the rides were in motion.
Here are a few articles I’ve written about the San Diego County Fair in years past:

Carnival Kaleidoscope
This is one of my favorite shots from that evening:

I recently entered this as a an 11×14 print for critique in the Darkroomers Photographic Club. I’m happy to say that it was accepted for exhibition and will be available for viewing at the Photographic Arts Building in Balboa Park (San Diego, CA) through mid-September 2019!
If you’re interested in purchasing a print of Carnival Kaleidoscope (or any other photos in my portfolio), please contact me for details.
About The Photograph
